NBA YoungBoy Says House Arrest Is Affecting His Mental Health

by Daryl Nelson

Earlier this year, a judge loosened some of the restrictions surrounding NBA YoungBoy's house arrest, and now the rapper wants more changes made because of mental health reasons.

YoungBoy has been on house arrest in Utah since 2021 after catching a gun charge in his Baton Rouge hometown.

"Being confined to his home and unable to complete his employment obligations has led to great anxiety, depression, loss of weight and sleep," the rapper's lawyer James P. Manasseh told the court, per AllHipHop. "[NBA YoungBoy] has been visibly stressed and has expressed concern and loss of hope that he will be able to return to his contracted employment obligation."

Basically, Youngboy wants more freedom to leave the Utah home for more "employment-related activities."

The judge hasn't ruled yet, though.
