The Memphis Grizzlies are the surprise team of the 2021-2022 basketball season, finishing with the second-best record in the NBA.

Baton Rouge rapper NBA YoungBoy has something to do with it.

The Grizzlies' pre-game playlist is dominated by YB songs; at least ten during the 90-minute pregame window.  Sometimes the team only plays only YoungBoy tracks they warm-up at home and their pre-game always culminates with "No Switch" for the team's intros.

“That’s probably why we have won so many games, honestly,” Jaren Jackson Jr. said. “Everybody is on the same page, everybody knows the words. At this point, everybody listens to it. We all know the words. The whole team.”

Jackson, Ja Morant, and Brandon Clarke are the Grizzlies in charge of the team's music.  They played a lot of YB last year, but even more for their breakout season.  The YoungBoy track "Black Ball" is a particular favorite, and the team played it over and over again when they beat Phoenix, the only team in the NBA with a better record, last week.
