Nas Takes Best Rap Album At The Grammys; Kanye Sets Record

by HHL JT

Nas has won his first-ever Grammy award.

The 47-year old's 13th album, King's Disease, has won Best Rap Album over D Smoke's Black Habits, Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist's Alfredo, Jay Electronica's A Written Testimony and Royce 5’9”'s The Allegory.

Kanye West was also a winner in the non-televised portion of the show.  Ye's Jesus Is King album won the award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album, even though he filmed himself peeing on one of his now 22 Grammys on social media last year.

Congrats to Nas and Kanye, who now ties JAY-Z for most Grammys for a rapper.

The Grammys air tonight at 8 PM on CBS
