Mystikal has been locked up and awaiting trial since being indicted on one count of first-degree rape and one count of second-degree kidnapping last year.
His bail was set at $3 million and yesterday a Caddo Parish Judge rejected his request to have it lowered, meaning he will have to stay in jail until his trial. His next hearing is October 25.
Mystikal was one of three men charged in connection with a sexual assault in a Shreveport, Louisiana casino which took place in October of 2016. He's called the charges against him "completely bogus."
Mystikal does have a history with sex crimes, having served almost seven years for sexual battery and extortion charges. Upon his release in January 2010, the 48-year old was given five years probation and was required to register as a sex offender in Louisiana.
