Mulatto's not-very PC name advertises that she's mixed race.
So broke down her background earlier this year on VladTV.
"I don't like identifying with anything specific, but if I had to I'd say I'm bi-racial, mulatto, I don't like saying I'm white or Black."
However, she called herself "black" in a recent Tweet in which she defends herself from being an unrepentant wig thief.
I am black dumb ass bitch. Who gone “hush” me???— BIG LATTO 🎰 (@mulatto) November 20, 2020
"I am black dumb ass bitch. Who gone “hush” me???," she typed after being accused of doing Black businesses dirty.
Twitter was not having her change of heart on her racial ID.
Who could have predicted that a woman named Mulatto would change back and forth from considering herself Black or not depending on the interview/opportunity? pic.twitter.com/PAp7kuzg7j— Knowbody Raps (@KnowbodysTweets) November 22, 2020
So you’re telling me y’all didn’t think a girl named MULATTO would be ..... colorist?— AsheéMeetsWorld (@_shayybutttaa) November 22, 2020

The crazy thing is, Mulatto is actually quite talented and cute. But her calling people trannies, calling Black women orangutans, and stealing from Black-owned businesses make it impossible for me to Stan. She needs to grow tf up.— diet dyke. (@broadwaytail) November 22, 2020
Mulatto’s name perpetuates colorism.— Brown Skin Honey (@locduplilmama) November 22, 2020
She just started identifying with being called ‘black’ now that the majority of her audience is black.
She calls her dark skin friend a monkey.
the linguistic reclamation of “nigga” is not the same as what Mulatto is doing with her stage name so y’all can close that dumbass case— вυтʟıя! (@1butlir1) November 22, 2020
If I see non black people saying Mulatto I’m blocking you. Idc if that’s her stage name it’s still a racial slur— S (@sarah_ogun) November 22, 2020
The issue is Mulatto trying to profit from Blackness when it's convenient.— Eric 🏁🏁 (@EroILL__) November 22, 2020
Nobody responded negatively to Saweetie and both her and Mulattoo share the same racial complex. The difference is Saweetie is a Black woman who even before fame/attention stood proudly in her Blackness.
so mulatto cant be black although one of her parents is indeed black but cardi b can be black although neither one of her parents is fully black?? somebody pls make it make sense😂😂😂😂😂😂— HNDRXX. (@moreofcee) November 22, 2020
