by HHL Editors

Remember the rumors that Mos Def aka Yasiin Bey had been kicked out of the US?

It's a good thing they weren't true, because it looks like Def has been kicked out of his new home of South Africa.

The Brooklyn-born artist was arrested earlier this week at Cape Town International Airport on charges of using a fraudulent passport. South African Ministry of Home Affairs spokesperson Mayihlome Tshwete took to Twitter to explain why Def and his family now have to vacate the African nation within 14 days.
