Tay-K is currently locked up and facing two unrelated murder trials.
The first was from a July 2016 home invasion in Mansfield, Texas that left a 21-year old Ethan Walker dead. Tay jumped bail after being hit with that murder charge and seemed to immortalize his escape in the lyrics of his summer '17 hit "The Race."
The girl who set up the home invasion (a minor, so her name hasn't been disclosed) was just found guilty of three delinquent conduct charges: capital murder and two aggravated robbery charges.
Tay-K was one of three juveniles and four adults arrested in Walker's murder. The 17-year old is being charged as an adult. After he jumped bail Tay was involved in another alleged murder, the shooting death of 23-year-old Mark Anthony Saldivar during a scuffle in a parking lot of a San Antonio Chick-Fil-A. He is also being charged as an adult in that case.
Tay signed a deal with RCA affiliate 88 Classic label a few months back. It doesn't look like he'll be making new music for them anytime soon.
