Milwaukee Bucks & Other NBA Teams Boycott Playoff Game Over Jacob Blake Shooting

by Daryl Nelson

Players for the Milwaukee Bucks decided not to take the court in their playoff game against the Orlando Magic today, over the shooting of Jacob Blake.

Blake, a black man, was shot at least seven times by a white police officer in Kenosha, Wisconsin on Sunday, August 23. He was unarmed at the time, his back was turned and he's now paralyzed from the waist down.

Besides the Bucks, tonight's Rockets, Oklahoma City Thunder game has been postponed after players refused to take the floor. The Los Angeles Lakers, Portland Trailblazers' playoff game, scheduled for Wednesday night, has also been postponed.  MLB's Milwaukee Brewers have also opted no to play tonight.
