Mike Tyson On Why He Confronted Boosie Badazz On His Comments About LGBT People

by HHL JT

During his podcast interview with Boosie Badazz, Mike Tyson posed this provocative question.

"Why do you say things about a person that might be a homosexual," Tyson wondered.  "Do you think there's a possibility that you're a homosexual and if you disrespect them it furthers you from being a homosexual?"

During an interview with TMZ, Tyson explained why he confronted Boosie (who said he's not gay) that way.

"You know, I was Boosie at one time," Tyson explained. "My daughter flew all the way from New York City to L.A. California where I'm at just to be there, cause she thought Boosie was so disrespectful she had to confront him. Could you imagine that? I said 'who do you think you are, you can't confront my guest.' And she said, 'you got to talk to him, this brother's disrespectful to the community.' So she came, and what they didn't show, was she confronted him. I was worried I would have to get angry, cause this is my baby, but he conducted himself like a gentleman and it went okay. It didn' go like I anticipated it to go. My daughter has a lot of courage and stuff."

Tyson went on to say he has nothing but love for Boosie.

"I love Boosie, Boosie is beautiful as far as I'm concerned," Tyson said. "It's just that, he gotta win that fight over those demons. He has to win, he can't give into them."
