by HHL Editors

Yesterday, a photo of Migos presenting an Atlanta high school with a big check for $1000 caused the trio much anguish, as the Internet decided that you should be bucking up a lot more if you want to go the big check route.

Migos's record label, Quality Control Music attempted to explain the photo-op -gone -wrong by having one of their interns tweet out this defense of the trio.

1.) It's not the Migos its the label 2.) Its the 1st stop on a citywide school tour 3.)If you can't match a donation then stfu @cthagod — HEARTBREAKjazz (@HEARTBREAKjazz) January 28, 2015

XXL reached out to Migos's manager Coach K, who repeated what was said in the tweet.

If it's really the first stop on a citywide tour, Migos and Quality Control should be commended, terrible optics aside. And if the ensuing controversy made it a citywide tour ... Well, that works too.
