Miami Beach Police Are Currently Seizing Lil Wayne's Property

by HHL Editors

The lawsuit Lil Wayne lost to a private jet company in September just got really real.

A court had ruled Weezy owed Signature Group $2 million for missing payments and for lawyer and other court fees. Today, police showed up at his Miami Beach mansion and started confiscating his property to pay the judgement.

According to TMZ, Wayne is currently in LA. When the deputies arrived at his Florida pad, his security refused to let them in. But the cops were able to provide a warrant  which allows them to break the locks and doors of the house, if need be, and then seize assets.

The Miami New Times reports that Signature's request for a "break order" was initially denied because they hadn't proved he had property inside the $11 million waterfront house.

However, once Signature was able to provide photos that suggests Wayne did have assets inside of the mansion the order was approved.

We guess the strategy of non-payment which Wayne learned from Birdman only really works for Birdman.
