Tory Lanez used his alleged shooting of Megan Thee Stallion to promote his surprise album DayStar.
It worked, to some extent. Tory is going to do around 50K first week with no help from streaming services and as a totally independent artist.
On the album, he claims he is innocent of shooting Meg, who he says he was dating, and claims that Meg's people are trying to frame him.
Meg appeared to respond to Tory's questionable album release tactics while doing some promo of her own.
"Nothing REAL can be threatened," she typed on Instagram. “Oh yeah and remember when I said I was collaborating with @fashionnova to make jeans for tall women These are the first samples."
