Megan Thee Stallion Announces Hiatus From Music & Social Media

by Daryl Nelson

Despite DJ Akademiks calling Megan Thee Stallion "overrated" last month, the Houston rhymer is still one of the hottest rappers on the planet.

Whether it was her "Hot Girl Summer" reign in 2019, jumping on "WAP" with Cardi B last year, or being the talk of the Internet after being shot by Tory Lanez, Megan's name has been all over the place.

But now the rapper wants to pull back some, so her team announced that she's taking a break.

“Megan Thee Stallion is recharging! Due to the demands of the Hot Girl lifestyle. Meg has now entered a period of regeneration to prepare for what’s next,” read a message in an elaborate Instagram video. “In her absence; [management] will manage all social posting on behalf of Thee Hot Girl Coach. Thee Hotties lead a brave resistance in anticipation for the return of their Fearless Captain!”

Then Megan addressed the hiatus on Twitter.

I’ll be back when it’s time 🔥
