Meek Mill Working Multiple Prison Jobs For 19 Cents An Hour

by Daryl Nelson

New details have surfaced about Meek Mill's current prison stay.

According to TMZ, the Philly rapper — who was sentenced to 2-4 years for violating probation — works several jobs at SCI Chester in Pennsylvania.  As part of the labor crew, Meek cleans up the prison yard, cell and cell block, cooks food, serves it and washes dishes.

He gets paid 19 cents an hour and so far has been deemed a model inmate. As a result, he gets special access to carpentry and electrical shops and will get to see a prison therapist in the future.

Meanwhile,  Pennsylvania appeals court has turned down Meek's request for bail as he appeals his case. This comes after Judge Genece Brinkley -- who Meek and his legal team believe have a personal vendetta against him -- turned down his initial request for bail.

If Meek does spend at least two years in prison, do you think his career will fully survive?
