Meek Mill Wants Off The Billboard Charts After His Album Disappoints

by HHL JT

Meek Mill's album Expensive Pain did a bit under 90K first week.

While those aren't bad numbers, they are down from what Meek usually does and were particularly embarrassing to Meek because he had earlier vowed never to have an album that couldn't do six figures in its first seven days.

To deal with the shame, Meek is now rejecting the whole system and wants off of the Billboard charts.

“Even before my album just came out. They say it sold 90,000, I don’t know if they said that’s good or bad, but if we walk outside right now, you gon’ hear that shi*t booming from Maine to Spain in the streets," Meek told Complex.

“Me, I’d rather take me off Billboard. You gotta think about, what is the purpose of me being on Billboard," Meek continued. "If JAY-Z talking about he don’t believe Billboard and he been in the game for 30 years. Why should I put myself in a position to be where they say, allegedly, something is being manipulated, and then I’m putting my brand on a list that’s being manipulated ... Billboard is not a part of my marketing scheme."

Alrighty?
