Last month, rising Detroit star and Meek Mill affiliate Dex Osama was shot dead after a dispute in a strip club.
Otis Davis, 46, and Dietrick Odums, 31, have been charged in his murder and testimony in court this week shed some light on what went down in the early hours of September 7th.
Chantell Sturdivant, Osama's girlfriend and a stripper at the Crazy Horse in Detroit, was about to dance for a person they both knew. Osama first signaled for her not to dance for him. Then he angrily confronted Sturdivant, pouring champagne on her.
Not long after that there was a gun fight outside the club, leaving Osama dead and another man injured.
Odums' lawyer concedes his client was at the scene, but said he had nothing to do with the shooting. The attorney for Davis, who was convicted of second degree murder in 1989, says it's too early to comment on a defense for his client.
The trial resumes October 30.
