DMX passed away on April 9, 2021, due to a drug overdose, and heart attack. 

Before he passed, X was in the hospital for a few days in a "vegetative state," but outside the hospital, it was filled with Ruff Ryders and fans showing their support. 

Fellow rapper Meek Mill is now calling on those fans the Ruff Ryders, to come out and do a "Ride Out" in memory of the fallen rapper. 

Meek first suggested the idea on April 10 on Twitter, and after a few tweets, the event is booked for today all across the east coast.
