Madonna Loses Lawsuit Over Her 2Pac Letter

by HHL JT

Last year, a letter 2Pac wrote to his ex-girlfriend Madonna when he was in prison surfaced.

In it, he explained that he broke up with the Material Girl because of race.

"For you to be seen with a black man wouldn't in any way jeopardize your career," he wrote.. "If anything it would make you seem that much more open and exciting. But for me, at least in my previous perception, I felt due to my image, I would be letting down half of the people who made me what I thought I was. I never meant to hurt you."

The letter was supposed to have been auctioned off last summer.  But Madonna filed an emergency order to prevent that from happening.

A judge just tossed the suit, ruling that Madonna had signed a waiver in 2004 giving possession of the letter to Darlene Lutz, an old friend of Madonna and an art consultant.

Madonna had argued she didn't realize the letter was one of the things she signed over to Lutz, who is now selling it.

Bidding on the note begins at 100K.
