Macklemore Tried To Get Adele On 'This Unruly Mess I've Made'

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis' sophomore album features YG, Chance The Rapper, Idris Ebra, Anderson .Paak, Ed Sheeran, and more. At one point, Adele was being considered for a song, but she ultimately decided against it.

"She graciously passed," Macklemore told the NY Times when discussing artists who he wanted on the album. "I’m sure that there were times that we never heard back from somebody’s manager or something like that, but for the most part, no."
Had Adele accepted the offer, she would've been featured on 'Growing Up,' Mack's dedicated track to his daughter and becoming a father. Mack says that she just wasn't with the idea. Instead, they completed the song by getting Ed Sheeran to sing the hook.

Would 'Growing Up' have been the huge hit Mack and Ryan needed if Adele joined them?
