Macklemore Addresses 'Thrift Shop' Backlash

When Macklemore's 'Thrift Shop' blew up , all the success was mirrored by constant hate. Article after article condemned Macklemore as an artist, and he fully understands their perspective. He even says that he feels the same way as most of those people.

"I think that if I was on the other side of it --- if I was myself at 20-years-old looking at the ‘Thrift Shop’ guy, I would probably be like, ‘Yo, fuck that dude.'," he tells MTV in a new mini-documentary.
