Machine Gun Kelly Explains Why He Went After Eminem

by HHL JT

Machine Gun Kelly unleashed six years of aggression on Eminem with the diss track "Rap Devil."

MGK went four verses deep on Shady, who had poured salt in an old blackball wound by mentioning on his new album Kamikaze that he had punished Kelly for Tweeting about his daughter Hailie in 2012.

"Rap Devil" has been surprisingly well-received.

Since it's dropped, MGK has offered a couple of explanations for why he decided to go at his idol.

First, this tweet, in which he says he's doing it for all the kids.

im standing up for not just myself, but my generation. im doing the same shit you did back in ur day. life is still real on my side, and i had to take time from the grind to defend myself from someone i called an idol. love, Rap Devil.

Then in this IG post from the movie Troy.

The Thesselonian you're fighting... he's the biggest man i've ever seen. I wouldn't want to fight him.," a messenger boy says to Brad Pitt's character Achilles.

"That's why no one will remember your name," Achilles says and rides off on his horse.

Will MGK gain immortality for taking on a Rap God, or is his a foolish ride to the Hip Hop graveyard?
