It was a bloody weekend in Lupe Fiasco's hometown of Chicago. 104 shot and 14 killed, almost exclusively Black on Black.

In a video posted to social, Fiasco called out focusing on the police when the streets are in flames.

"What you mad at again?  Who you mad at again?  That's why I move how I move.  You might get upset with me.  But I stop giving a f*ck a long time ago.  I don't know what Black people be looking at to defend sh*t like this and say don't worry about sh*t like this, worry about the police.  Police ain't do none of these motherf*ckers.  Police didn't shoot the three-year-old kid for no reason.  I get people are upset.  But you need to be upset the whole way.  If you really trying to end sh*t, end the whole sh*t," Lupe said, adding people don't like him and blackball him for expressing this POV.

Lupe continued to argue that while police brutality is a problem, Black people need to bring at least the same if not more energy to Black on Black crime.  He also said that Rayshard Brooks, who was shot in the back by the police after a confrontation in Atlanta, partially brought it on himself by getting violent when the police were being respectful.

Lupe ended by calling out the rap game for rewarding toxic and violent behavior.

Is Lupe right about there not being enough focus on Black on Black crime? Or is it possible it just feels that way because we're going through a temporary stretch when everyone is focusing on police violence?
