The folks Eminem comes for on his album Kamikaze can be divided into categories of rappers and media figures.
Two of his victims check both boxes: Joe Budden and Brand Nubian rapper and hot take pundit Lord Jamar.
Jamar has been on Eminem for years as a culture vulture, and here's how Shady addressed that on "The Fall."
And far as Lord Jamar, you better leave me the hell alone
Or I'll show you an Elvis clone
Walk up in this house you own, thrust my pelvic bone
Use your telephone and go fetch me the remote
Put my feet up and just make myself at home
I belong here, clown, don't tell me 'bout the culture
Jamar has responded to the bars on his podcast.
"I wanted this to happen," he said of his Kamikaze mention as he chats with Rah Digga. "I'm a chess player. If you didn't respond, or if you did respond I win. You are now doing what the fuck I wanted you to do. I have made you modify your behavior. I got into your psyche. You sat there and had to fucking sit down and try to think of some shit to respond to Lord Jamar's jabs that you know you could not escape. It was just inescapable."
Jump to the 11-minute mark to hear Jamar speak on Shady. Do you agree that he's winning?
