Rihanna shot down Matt Barnes harshly after he told TMZ's cameras that the pair had been getting close.

In a scathing Instagram message, Rih-Rih want as far as saying she didn't even know Matt Barnes.

During an appearance on ESPN's His & Her, Barnes's old teammate Glen Davis makes it clear that Rihanna does "know" Barnes.

Barnes also pushed back against Rihanna's assertion on the Jim Rome show.

“It is what it is, I’m going to let this blow by like everything else blows by,” he said about Rihanna's IG post. "I just smiled. I just smiled, that’s it. What can you do? At the end of the day, we’re all grown-ups. Like I said, I’m too grown to be lying about stuff, but life is life. You live and you learn."
