Lil Yachty has a history of disrespecting his elders.

The 19-year old used to go around tweeting "Fuck J. Cole", has compared himself to Nas, and admits to knowing little about Biggie and 2Pac.

But there's one older rapper whom he has nothing but respect for. Boat explained why he fucks with Kendrick Lamar in a Montreality interview.

"He understands all eras," Yachty said of K.Dot. "Like, when I first met Kendrick—not the first time I met him, I met him before and then I met him met him like sat down and talked with him—he understood me. I woulda never expect him to fucking get me, understand me. But he gets me, understands me. He knows what I like. He gets what I do ... like, he genuinely understands me."
