Big day for Lil Wayne yesterday with the release of the cover art for his 'Sorry 4 The Wait 2' mixtape, and also the new song 'Shit (Remix).'
In the track, Wayne raps "Did my time in Cash Money, time served and released/But this agent ain't free word, that's the word on these streets."
It's yet another reminder that his feud with his daddy/mentor/Cash Money boss Birdman is very real.
Late last night Weezy's manager Cortez Bryant put an exclamation point on that with a couple posts on Instagram.
"Wayne carried Cash Money on his back for over 10 years when he could have left and did this on his own," Bryant writes. "The most loyal person I know on earth! He don’t deserve the s**t he’s going through at this point in the game. One thing for sure Two things for certain Mack Maine and myself will not let this dream die."In his second post, Bryant addressed the other artists on Wayne's label Young Money who have also seen their careers stalled.
"And for all our other artist that’s been loyal from the beginning and patiently waiting for their number to be called! That’s coming too! The world also will see what Wayne saw in them that’s J Millz Gudda Gudda Cory Gunz Lil Twist Shanell! Once we unlock these chains It’s on Young Money!"@imguddagudda @jae_millz @corygunz174 @liltwist @shanellymcmb A photo posted by cortezbryant (@tezzington) on
