You don't have to be a Chicago Bulls fan to feel Derrick Rose's pain.
The former MVP tore the meniscus in his right knee last night. It's the same injury he suffered last year, and Rose will likely miss the end of the season for the third straight year.
Lil Wayne has been accused of being a a bandwagon b-ball fan, but he has expressed his allegiance to Rose before. Weezy woke up with a heavy heart, and posted this message to Number 1.
Dam dog I ain't kry in a minute but I woke up to da D Rose news & had to let one fall man. Good dude. Prayers up. Strength is savior. #FWA — Lil Wayne WEEZY F (@LilTunechi) February 25, 2015
Wayne may also be relating to Rose a bit here. They are both enormously talented performers who have been through a rough patch, and who are starting to hear question about whether they're ever going to be the same.
In 2020, who's a better bet to still be a superstar? The (now) 32-year old Wayne or the (now) 26-year old Rose?
