It looks like the longstanding money dispute between Lil Wayne and Birdman is over.

According to the Blast, Wayne's lawyer filed a notice in late May that stated all sides were willing to dismiss the lawsuit.

That happened after Universal, Cash Money's parent company, cut Wayne a check for "well over $10 million" with none of the money coming from Birdman.

Wayne is officially off Cash Money now, and Tha Carter V will be released by Universal. The Blast also suggests that Young Money artists Drake and Nicki Minaj have followed Weezy to Universal.

"We are told that Universal was comfortable with the massive payment because they believe they will recoup the profits from Drake and Nicki Minaj going forward — a major part of what Wayne was suing over", reports The Blast.

It was almost four years ago when Tunechi first blasted Birdman and Cash Money and demanded off of the label. He then sued CM for $51 million and accused them of holding back his music.

To all my fans, I want you to know that my album won't and hasn't been released because Baby and Cash Money refuse to release it," he wrote in 2014. I want off this label and nothing to do with these people but unfortunately, it ain't that easy."

It looks like Wayne finally got his wish, huh?

What are your thoughts on this?
