Lil Wayne Says He's In Control Of 'Carter V'

by HHL Editors

We all thought Lil Wayne hasn't dropped Carter V  because Birdman has its rights.

However, in a new interview with Q93’s Wild Wayne, Weezy claims he's in control of the much-delayed album.

"“Of course you’re going to see 'Tha Carter V,'" Wayne said. "I just don’t want to put it out the wrong way. Honestly, I can do what I want at any time. The fans deserve it to be right and that’s how it’s gonna be. I’ma make sure it’s right. I can drop whatever I want to drop. That’s why I keep dropping whatever I want to drop. But I'm not gonna give them Carter V the wrong way."
Wayne went on to say Carter V is completely finished and ready to go. But he reiterated that he didn't want to drop it the "wrong way", suggesting that even though he controls the rights to the album, Birdman may still have a say in its distribution. Or maybe he just doesn't want Baby to get paid.
