It happened. Donald Trump granted a full pardon to Lil Wayne, and Kodak Black's sentence was commuted.
Trump also commuted the sentence of Death Row Records’ co-founder Michael “Harry O” Harris, after it's been said that Snoop Dogg has been quietly lobbying Trump for his release.
Wayne pled guilty to a federal gun charge in December of 2020 and was looking at a prison sentence. Black was arrested and locked up for lying on a federal gun application in 2019.
In all, 73 pardons were given, and 70 people had their sentences commuted, including former Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, who was sentenced to 28 years in prison for a slew of white collar crimes.
