Lil Uzi Vert is gearing up to release his album "The Pink Tape," which he recorded sober.

Going into the studio without being under the influence was totally new for the 27 year old and he talked about it with TMZ.

"It was challenging at first," said Uzi. "I thought that my creative process wasn’t going to be the same because I wasn’t on drugs anymore ... but it was the same, even better ... because I can think more clear and instead of my words slurring ... I didn't make just random music ... I didn't just play off the beat, I actually made songs with topics this time."

Uzi — who recently said he doesn't follow Satan after some believed so — then told rappers getting sober is the best decision they could make and it would change their life.
