Lil Uzi Vert Explains Why He Said He's Retiring

by HHL JT

Lil Uzi Vert shocked everyone when he said he was done making music and had "deleted" everything.

It turns out he's probably not done making music.

The 24-year-old put out a video in which he suggests he's trying to drop more music but label issues are preventing him from getting it out.

“Y’all talking about drop something. At least, I’m tryna drop something. I dropped ‘New Patek.’ That s**t ain’t getting leaked," Vert said. "I’ve been tryna drop something new. Bro, this is my life now. All I can do is make music, and sit back and wait for y’all response, and make visions to this s**t. You think I don’t wanna drop music? You just gotta understand. Let me tell you something, when people don’t love you, they’ll hold your life if you sign a motherf*****g...Hold that s**t against you.

And that go for the streets too," he continued. "I know something. You ain’t supposed to sign no motherf*****g paper in the streets because that’s rattin. How the f*** I even sign this s**t as a deal," he said. "Motherf****r set myself up. What other way  was I suppose to let this s**t go?"

Uzi is signed to DJ Drama's Generation Now label, which is an imprint of Atlantic. He has expressed anger with his deal before:

And if y’all do sign ... sign 2 a major Dont sign 2 a rapper or a Dj ........Its Just Easier When The Time Come For That Fake Shit 🙄💯®️
