Hip Hop is back on top, and we can all thank Lil Uzi Vert and his Pink Tape album, which is now number one on the Billboard 200 chart.
It's the first Hip Hop album to grab the top spot in all of 2023, moving 167,000 equivalent album units.
Plus, Billboard shows that 18 of the 26 songs on the album have landed on the Hot 100.
The last Hip Hop album to go number one was Metro Boomin’s Heroes & Villains back in December 2020.
So, Metro acknowledged Uzi's feat on Instagram Stories by posting a tweet from Chart Data about the Pink Tape.
Now, we'll have to see which rapper is the next to go number one this year. Maybe it'll be Drake with his forthcoming album, For All The Dogs.
