The good news for Lil Pump haters is that his songs are short.
The bad news is that they're getting played a lot more.
Lil Pump's "Gucci Gang" is currently number seven on the Billboard Hot 100. The track clocks in at two minutes and four seconds, which makes it the shortest top ten hit since 1975 when a song called "Mr. Jaws" from Dickie Goodman ran two minutes and three seconds.
If you go back further short songs weren't as uncommon; during the 50's and 60's 57 top ten hits were under two minutes.
Many who have taken in the Lil Pump experience have concluded that the vocabulary challenged 17-year old is a harbinger of a terrible future to come. But he's actually a bit of a throwback.
