Lil Peep Wrongful Death Lawsuit Settled

by HHL JT

Lil Peep's mother Liza Womack has settled her wrongful death lawsuit against Peep's label and management team, who she argued were responsible for his fentanyl and Xanax overdose in 2017.

The financial terms of the settlement were not disclosed.  The suit had been scheduled to go to court in March of 2023.

Womack had claimed that members of Peep's legal and management team aggressively and regularly gave Peep drugs during his tours, citing an incident in London in which he was given a bottle of pills during dinner by one of his managers.

She alleged things got even worse during his final Come Over When You're Sober tour.  According to Womack, he was regularly given Xanax, Ketamine, and other drugs and his managers allowed him to perform despite him being in a "comatose-like state"

She claimed Peep wanted to quit drugs, but his team kept giving them to him to keep the tour going and pushed Peep “to the extreme bounds of what somebody of his age and maturity level could handle emotionally, mentally, and physically."
