Lil Nas X Feels Bad about First Purchase He Made With Record Label Money

Lil Nas X's breakout hit "Old Town Road" got big through TikTok and SoundCloud.

That rather quickly led to a deal with Columbia and a good chunk of advance money.

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, LNX expressed remorse with how he spent some of that money

According to LNX, his first purchase was a $2000 Burberry jacket and he almost immediately regretted it.

“What was the point? To post it on Instagram once," he lamented.

He would eventually make a more financially sound and useful purchase with his advance:  A house.

However, Nas X says the house is still mostly unfurnished because he likes spending money on his friends and family.

Perhaps that's why they are so defensive of him.
