Lil Mosey is facing life in prison after allegedly getting a young woman drunk on White Claws and then forcing himself on her.
The victim says that she had consensual sex with Mosey during the ride to the cabin where the White Claw party took place, but that she was slipping in and out of consciousness when Mosey and another man had sex with her later on.
Mosey was supposed to show up last week in court to face the second-degree rape charge but didn't, suggesting he might be on the run.
Turns out the notice had been sent to an old address, and Mosey had no idea he needed to go to court. His lawyer cleared that up, and yesterday Mosey, 19, pled not guilty.
"Lathan was never arrested and was never on the run. He only learned of this allegation last week. Notice of his court date was sent to the wrong address. Once Lathan learned about the warrant, he told his attorneys to contact the prosecutor right away. The prosecutor agreed that the judge could quash the warrant immediately, which the judge did. Lathan then appeared in court at the first opportunity. Today, the judge found he wasn’t a flight risk and didn’t impose any bail. Lathan entered a plea of not guilty because he is innocent. We expect him to be exonerated," Mosey's lawyer told XXL.
