Lil Kim's Murderous Ex Threatened DJs, Robbed Rappers

by HHL Editors

Last week, the murder trial of Damion (World) Hardy began.

Prosecutors allege Hardy had six people killed while running the Brooklyn-based Cash Money Brothers drug gang in '90s and early 2000s. Hardy also dated and was engaged to Lil Kim for part of that time period.

Testimony in the trial suggests Hardy used his connections in the Hip Hop world to commit crime.

"World would tell me where there was going to be industry parties and I would gather some guys and we would rob the rappers," Allen (Boo) Bryant, a former hitman in Hardy's crew, said in Brooklyn Federal Court earlier this week. "A lot of jewelry was going to be there, expensive jewelry."
There has been no evidence presented that tied Lil Kim directly to the robbery scheme. But Bryant did also detail how Hardy had him pressure New York DJs into playing Kim's songs. According to Bryant, one unidentified Hot 97 DJ said Hardy "better go ahead and kill me" because there was no way he could meet his Kim spin requirement.

The trial continues.
