Lil Durk's legal team hasn't been able to bail Lil Durk out of jail, despite offering a $4.5 million bond.
They believe a single informant is fueling the government's reluctance to let Durk await his trial at home.
"The government repeatedly cites to allegations from a federal case out of Illinois where Mr. Banks has never been charged and never will be charged, despite the passage of over three years since the underlying incident," wrote Durk's lawyer, Drew Findling, in a statement.
Durk's real name is Durk Derrick Banks, by the way.
"The government’s own exhibit reveals that the allegations pertaining to Mr. Banks are based primarily on information from a cooperating human source, 'CHS 1,' described in the affidavit as a paid FBI informant and former gang member with a criminal history," the lawyer continued.
Durk has been locked up since late last year on murder-for-hire charges.
The feds are accusing him of hiring people from his OTF label to kill Quando Rondo, but they killed Rondo's cousin, Saviay'a Robinson, instead.
Durk's trial is scheduled to start on October 14.
