Lil Cease Says Biggie Wrote His Rhymes Because He Was Too 'Intimidated'

by Daryl Nelson

Lil' Cease sat down with VladTV and admitted that The Notorious B.I.G. penned his rhymes back in the day. Cease said the main reason had to do with his lack of confidence as a writer.

"When I had to write my album [was when I started writing rhymes]. In them times before that, Biggie was writing the raps for me," explained Cease, who once said that Biggie knew Jay-Z was a better rapper than him. "Most of the artists from Junior M.A.F.I.A. rapped, I just wasn't a rapper. It was just an idea he had just for me performing with them that whole year before we got our record deal ... He used to try to get me to rap, but I was intimidated because I'm like, 'This n*gga so nice, he's so dope, I can't write nothing nowhere near close to what the f*ck this n*gga doing.'"
