LeBron James Denies Ever Playing For A Super Team

by HHL Editors

Remember when LeBron James played for the Miami Heat alongside Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh and eventually Ray Allen?

Or when he rejoined the Cavs to play with Kyrie Irving and the newly acquired Kevin Love?

Apparently, LeBron James doesn't.

In a head scratching postgame interview, James denied ever playing on a "superteam," like the one his nemesis Kevin Durant joined in Golden State.

Of course, there isn't a set definition of a superteam.

But one could argue that when you give your team a nickname referencing the name of the most famous musical band of all time -- as James did when he dubbed the Heat the "Heatles" -- you are on a superteam.

He also addressed Durant directly, saying he wasn't happy KD now has a title.

LeBron James keeping it real when asked if part of him is happy for Kevin Durant: "I'm not happy he won his first. I'm not happy at all."

Although we'd have to agree that's more refreshing honesty than unreasonable bitterness.
