Last week, Lebron James signed with the Los Angeles Lakers as expected.
But what followed was unexpected. Instead of also adding Paul George and/or Kawai Leonard to the mix, the Lakers brought on the oddball collection of Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, and Rajon Rondo.
Rondo is the most notable pickup because he's always been a starter and he plays the same position as the Lakers number one draft pick in 2017, Lonzo Ball.
Lonzo's outspoken dad LaVar did Chris Cuomo's CNN show, on which he threw shade on the skills of Rondo, a four-time All-Star and one-time champion.
"That don't mean nothing," LaVar said of the Rondo signing. "[Lonzo] just got another teammate. Another teammate, that's all. A little backup, that's good. I never worry about competition because my boys are better than that."
Who do you expect to be the Lakers starting point guard next season?
