LaVar Ball Pulls LaMelo Ball Out Of High School

by HHL Editors

LaVar Ball is keeping things interesting.

The basketball dad may have graduated his eldest son Lonzo to the Lakers. But he's still in control of his youngest boy, prep star LaMelo Ball.

Today, LaVar revealed that Melo will no longer be attending Chino Hills High and that the 16-year old will be home-schooled.

LeMelo, who's already committed to UCLA, will train with his dad for two years and then join the Bruins.

The move has everything to do with Chico Hill's new coach Dennis Latimore.

ESPN reporter Romona Shelburne explains.

Last year, LaMelo scored 92 points in a Chino Hills game.

He will presumably still play AAU ball, which is beginning to surpass high school ball as the most important competition for high school-aged players.

So LaVar's decision to pull Melo from high school isn't that out there.
