Lauryn Hill's Cousin Facing Jail Time For Owing Her $70K

by Daryl Nelson

Lauryn Hill's cousin Gerald Hill could land in jail if he doesn't hand over his bank records.

The Blast reports that Hill loaned her cousin $65,000, and based on a contract he was supposed to pay it back by September 2017. Gerald didn't have to pay interest if he paid everything off by that date and if he missed it, he'd have to pay a 10 percent annual interest.

The former Fugee member never received anything from her cousin, so she sued him in June 2018. She now wants the $65K, as well as attorney fees. She was already granted a default judgement of $72,886.92 in August of this year.

Plus, Gerald was already told to hand in his bank records by a New Jersey judge but never did. He now has 10 days to do so or a warrant will be issued for his arrest.
