A lot of hyped Hip Hop albums have flopped lately.
You could easily argue that Latto's 777 album -- which had a 22K opening week last month -- makes her part of what Trippie Red called "an Avengers for trash n*ggas."
"I need all the c list rappers. We about to create an Avengers for trash n*ggas. We gonna sell what? If we all put our 30,000 first week together, n*gga, we gonna make a mil," Trippie mocked.
Latto pushed back on the hate -- and the hate she still gets when things go right for her.
"1st female rapper & 1st female artist in 12 years for the incompetent ones in the back!!! If it's so easy for the label to pay for it why it's only a handful of females w this accomplishment?! Y'all try to take my happiness away from me and downplay all my accomplishments ... then when I do sum big it's "be humble" lol??? God gone keep blessing me in you mad ass face and ima keep popping my sh*t for everyone who doubted me!"
Does Latto deserve such hate?
