LA Rapper Found In Sealed Barrel On Malibu Beach

32-year-old Javonnta Murphy tried to make it a rapper/singer-songwriter and dropped a few tracks in the duo Tank & Booq.

It's unclear if his music career had anything to do with his untimely demise.

Earlier this week, a Malibu Lagoon State Beach lifeguard pulled an unusually heavy barrel out of a lagoon.

When they opened it up, they found Murphy's naked body.

“This is not what happens in Malibu,” said the town's former mayor Jefferson Wagner, who noticed the barrel before the lifeguard grabbed it. “This is not a common occurrence. I mean, bodies in a barrel is just sad."

Police are investigating.
