Kristaps Porzingis Traded To The Mavs

by HHL JT

Here's an NBA trade we didn't see coming.

The New York Knicks have traded their injured unicorn Kristaps Porzingis along with Tim Hardaway Jr., Courtney Lee, and Trey Burke to the Dallas Mavericks for Dennis Smith Jr., DeAndre Jordan, and Wes Matthews and a possible future first-round pick.

The deal will clear up salary space for the Knicks and allow them to pursue two maximum contract free agents.

The Knicks would also receive future first-round draft compensation from the Mavericks and, by shedding the contracts of Hardaway and Lee, create the salary-cap space this summer to pursue two maximum contract free agents

Do you think Dallas's new Euro duo of Porzingis and Luka Doncic will be better than what the Knicks eventually put together with all their cap space?
