Kodak Black Gets His Shorter Sentence Appeal shot down

by HHL JT

Kodak Black's lawyers have been trying to get a reduction on his 46-month federal sentence for falsifying a gun application by arguing that both his criminal history was exaggerated and that his drug use overstated.

Last month, they got a judge to agree that there was embellishment on those fronts.  They then filed a sentence reduction appeal in which they further argued that since Kodak had pled "no contest" to a Florida robbery in 2015 that shouldn't have been counted as a prior conviction when the Feds determined his sentence for the falsified gun application

However, last week, The United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit rejected Kodak's sentence reduction appeal, stating that Kodak's no contest plea in the Florida robbery is the same as a conviction.

Kodak is currently housed in the USP Big Sandy maximum security prison in Kentucky.

He will first be eligible for parole in October of 2022.

That gives Tyga a lot of time to steal Zendaya from him.
