Kid Cudi Says He's Dropping One More Album After Hinting At Retirement

by Daryl Nelson

In late September, Kid Cudi told Apple Music's Zane Lowe that he'd be walking away from music soon

“The Kid Cudi stuff, I think I want to put it on the back burner and chill out with that,” he explained to Lowe. “I think I want to be done with it ... I’ve said a lot and I have other desires. I have other things I want to do."

But based on a couple of tweets sent Sunday, November 6, the Ohio artist will release one more project.

Im doin 1 more album and then im done w my deal and not sure what ima do after that but yea, 1 more. Wont be next year. Keep u posted.

There's a chance that Cudi could be going the independent route after wrapping up his deal with Republic Records. Or, he could concentrate on his acting more. Time will tell.
