Around Christmas, information started circulating that Kevin Gates would be released from the East Moline Correctional Center in Illinois on January 10th, which is this coming Wednesday.

There was some doubt about the veracity of the info, in part because it listed Gates -- who is heavily tattooed -- as having no tattoos.
But those doubts have been put to rest. Lindsey Hess at the Illinois Department of Correction has confirmed Gates is scheduled for a January 10th release. He will have served nine months of his 30-month sentence for felony gun possession.
